WHAT IS COFFEE?
Coffee is produced from the seed of the fruit that grows on coffee plants. These seeds, usually called ‘beans’, are then roasted and ground to produce the small granules that we use in our favourite hot drink. It’s the caffeine content in coffee that has a stimulating effect on the body and helps to boost our energy and concentration levels. Coffee is also known as a rich source of powerful antioxidants.
Coffee is an increasingly popular ingredient for face and body exfoliators. The bean particles are a gentle but effective way to buff away dead skin cells and impurities, which can leave skin feeling smoother and looking more refined.
Adding coffee to your skincare routine may also help your skin look more radiant. Just as coffee perks you up in the morning, using a coffee face mask is thought to improve blood circulation and reveal skin that looks more radiant and awakened.

Our Community Trade sesame seed oil is sustainably sourced from the Juan Francisco Paz Silva Cooperative (JFPS) in Nicaragua. JFPS has built schools, supported environmental education and funded water projects for the local community. Our trade has also helped protect the local environment by funding community projects that teach organic farming techniques and implement water-saving farming methods.
COMMUNITY TRADE SHEA BUTTER FROM GHANA
Our Community Trade shea butter is sustainably sourced from The Tungteiya Women’s Association in northern Ghana. 640 women hand harvest and handcraft our shea butter in an 18-stage process passed down from mother to daughter for generations. As well as paying a fair price, we pay a premium to empower these women and help fund community projects that benefit 49,000 people every year.
